BACKGROUND: 

County staff has worked with HR&A Advisors and CTC Technology and Energy for the past few months on a Broadband Internet Action Plan.  This agenda item is to discuss the plan, which includes the following focus areas:
                     
                     •                     A baseline assessment of broadband internet access, affordability, and adoption in                                                                                     Clark County;
                     •                     Access focused on current infrastructure capabilities and improvement opportunities;
                     •                     Affordability;
                     •                     Demographic and geographic trends impacting take-up; and
                     •                     Policy recommendations.
