BACKGROUND:
On January 7, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners approved a pre-qualification list to be used to select professional service providers for the period January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2020. On December 1, 2020, the Board approved a one-year extension of this list through December 31, 2021. Atkins North America, Inc. (Corporation) was selected from the pre-qualification list, [Service] Surveying - Construction Staking - Minor, to provide construction land surveying services for the Silverado Ranch Detention Basin and Outfall Facilities and Silverado Ranch Boulevard between Arville Street and Dean Martin Drive - Phase B project (Bid No. 605745-20).
County staff negotiated the attached professional services contract with Atkins North America, Inc. The contract describe the services to be provided and stipulated terms. The time of performance is effective to January 26, 2024, unless time extensions are granted. Atkins North America, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.
Pursuant to Nevada Revised Statute 332.115(1)(b), contracts for professional services are not adapted to award by competitive bidding and, therefore, are exempt from the bidding requirements.
The District Attorney’s Office has reviewed and approved the contract as to form.
