Additional Comments:

Initial contract amount was $2,000,000 and Supplemental No. 1 increase of $1,100,000 revises the total contract value to $3,100,000.

 

BACKGROUND: 

On May 19, 2022, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) and Clark County entered into Interlocal Contract No. 3033 for the Katie Avenue between Tomsik Street and Cimarron Road, and Cimarron Road between Katie Avenue and Spring Mountain Road project in RTC's Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund for Fiscal Year 2022. The Board of County Commissioners approved this contract on June 21, 2022.

The attached Supplemental No. 1 to Interlocal Contract No. 3033 increases total funds for construction to cover the increased cost due to bid amounts higher than the engineer's estimate. The time of performance remains effective until June 30, 2027, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC approved the first supplemental contract at its meeting on August 10, 2023.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the first supplemental contract as to form.
