BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved the Pebble Road between Las Vegas Boulevard and Eastern Avenue project on its annual Capital Improvement Program from its Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund - Fuel Revenue Indexing for Fiscal Year 2026.

Interlocal Contract No. 3277 provides funds for construction of the subject project consisting of improvements to Pebble Road between Las Vegas Boulevard and Eastern Avenue. The project elements include removal and replacement of asphaltic pavement, ultra-thin asphalt concrete surface (UTACS), median islands, adjustment of utility manholes and valves, removal and replacement of various concrete work to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, including sidewalk ramps and driveways, pavement markings, conduit, barrier rail extension, attenuator relocation, and traffic signal loops. The design for the project was funded by Clark County. The design is at least 90 percent complete, and all necessary right-of-way to construct the project has been obtained. This project is also supported through funding contributions from the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT). The term of the contract is effective until June 30, 2031, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC has prepared Interlocal Contract No. 3277 for the Board's consideration. RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on June 11, 2026.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
