BACKGROUND:
Bid No. 607149-24, for Traffic Signal and Roadway Improvements at Jones Boulevard and Pyle Avenue, Starr Hill Avenue, Cactus Avenue and Torrey Pines Drive/Pedestrian Flasher Improvements at Dean Martin Drive and Southern Highlands Parkway was advertised on August 26, 2024 and opened on September 17, 2024. The Bid amounts are as follows:

This Contract is for the traffic signal system installation at Jones Blvd/Pyle Ave; street widening of Pyle Ave and Starr Hill Ave; construction of full operational traffic signal system at the intersection of Cactus Ave/Torrey Pines Dr; and installation of pedestrian actuated flasher at Dean Martin Dr. and Southern Highlands Pkwy. The work will generally consist of miscellaneous traffic signal improvements including installing traffic signal controller, mast arms and signal heads, GPS preemption, Opticom, V2X Roadside Unit (RSU); pedestrian push button system, CCTV; provide controller MMU; removing, salvaging, and installing signs, mast arm, foundation, pull boxes; installing ITS connection and related miscellaneous items. The work will also consist of roadway improvements including demolition, removal, and disposal of existing pavements, cold planning, storm drain inlet, and concrete sidewalk and ramps; constructing pavements, UTACS, curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, ADA ramps, signs and posts, and other related items of work as shown on the drawings within the unincorporated of Clark County, Nevada.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 180 calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed.
• Includes the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience language as in all public works efforts of this type.
The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 338.1385.5, a public body or its authorized representative shall award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
