BACKGROUND:
On May 25, 2023, Clark County (County) submitted a second conditional offer to purchase 300 S Martin L. King Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89106, located on APN 139-33-202-003 which consists of a ±35,982 one-story retail showroom/warehouse on ±2.11 acres of developed land.
The County's Department of Real Property Management has completed due diligence inspections, appraisal and ALTA survey. County and Seller shall each pay their normal closing costs at the time of escrow closing.
The County intends to use this property to expand the Southern Nevada Children’s Advocacy Center (SNCAC). The SNCAC is the first accredited children’s advocacy center in the state of Nevada. Children’s advocacy centers provide a safe place where children who have said they were either physically or sexually abused or children who were witnesses to violent crime, come and are interviewed once by a trained forensic interviewer, and where a team made up of law enforcement, child protection, mental health personnel, medical personnel, and family advocates work together in order to lessen the trauma a child experiences during child abuse investigations and to ensure the child and family are connected with much needed services. In 2018 the SNCAC expanded these services for child survivors of sex trafficking.
