BACKGROUND:
On May 20, 2014, the Board of County Commissioners approved a professional engineering services contract with Atkins North America, Inc. for predesign services for the Airport Channel - Naples project. The Board approved Supplemental No. 1 on November 17, 2015, for final design services for the project; Supplemental No. 2 on November 21, 2017, to extend the term of the contract due to the time it took to receive the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval to build a peaking basin on property owned by Clark County Aviation; Supplemental No. 3 on July 3, 2018, to add engineering services to design the peaking basin; Supplemental No. 4 on August 18, 2020, to add flood control facilities within Tropicana Avenue to further increase flood protection in the area and to extend the term of the contract; and Supplemental No. 5 on September 5, 2023 to add additional engineering services related to the continued coordination with surrounding property owners, and affected agencies and utilities, constructability review, post design services, and to extend the term of the contract to June 30, 2026.
Supplemental No. 6 to the professional engineering services contract adds additional engineering services related to the design of the Security Grate Support System as required by the Clark County Department of Aviation for security, funding for post design services, and miscellaneous design changes. Supplemental No. 6 also extends the time of performance until December 31, 2027, unless further time extensions are granted.
AtkinsRealis USA, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.
The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved this sixth supplemental contract as to form.
