BACKGROUND:

The Clark County Advisory Board to Manage Wildlife (CCABMW) is comprised of seven members who serve in an advisory capacity to the Nevada State Board of Wildlife Commissioners by soliciting and evaluating local opinion on matters relating to the management of wildlife in Clark County and the state of Nevada. Pursuant to NRS Sections 501.265-501.275, the Board of County Commissioners appoints qualified individuals to the CCABMW who are citizens of Nevada and residents of Clark County.

Two board members’ terms have expired, and the CCABMW has two vacancies for Clark County residents who are hunters, trappers, anglers, or engaged in ranching or farming. John Hiatt is seeking reappointment. Annoula Wylderich is the only other qualified individual who applied for appointment after the openings were advertised and posted on the County and Department websites from October 19 to November 19, 2024.

Staff recommends the reappointment of J. Hiatt and the appointment of A. Wylderich to the CCABMW.
