BACKGROUND:
On March 15, 2022, the Board directed staff to prepare an ordinance to amend Chapter 6.76 of the Clark County Code update the terminology for electronic alarm systems, add definitions, and to clarify the duties of electronic security services providers. The proposed ordinance establishes and clarifies procedures in responding to an alarm signal and provides the sheriff more flexibility in the denial of a work identification card of an employee of an electronic security systems licensee.
The proposed ordinance was introduced by the Board of County Commissioners on June 7, 2022, and a public hearing was set for June 21, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Staff recommends approval of the ordinance to amend Title 6, Chapter 6.76 of the County Code.
