BACKGROUND:

The Regional Flood Control District (RFCD) approved funding for the Silverado Ranch Detention Basin and Outfall Facilities (a/k/a Silverado Ranch Detention Basin) project (No. PW.FCLA08S) on its Master Plan and annual Ten-Year Construction Program.

The Board of County Commissioners previously approved Supplemental No. 1 to the interlocal contract to formally change the project name from "Silverado Ranch Detention Basin" to "Silverado Ranch Detention Basin and Outfall Facilities" and approved Supplemental No. 2 to the interlocal contract to increase total funds for the project.

The attached Supplemental No. 3 to the interlocal contract will extend the term of the contract from June 30, 2021 to June 30, 2024 for the subject project.  The project is currently in the process of advertising.  The time extension to the contract is needed for coordination with adjacent developments, roadway projects, utility companies, and dam safety.

This project is identified on RFCD's Ten-Year Construction Program for Fiscal Year 2020-2021.  RFCD approved the supplemental contract at its meeting on March 11, 2021.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the supplemental contract as to form.
