BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved and budgeted funding for the Mount Charleston - Rainbow Canyon Streets Reconstruction project in the Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund - Fuel Revenue Indexing for Fiscal Year 2024. The design is 90 percent complete, and all necessary rights-of-way have been obtained for this project.

Interlocal Contract No. 3106 allocates funds for construction of the Mount Charleston - Rainbow Canyon Streets Reconstruction project. The work to be performed under this contract consists of removal and reconstruction of pavement in the Rainbow Canyon subdivision located on Mount Charleston within the unincorporated area of Clark County. The time of performance is effective until December 31, 2028, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on August 10, 2023.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
