BACKGROUND:
Under County Code 8.20.450, liquor stores are not allowed to be within 1,500 feet of a school or church, except that the Board has discretion to waive this requirement at a public hearing if the two uses are not less than five hundred feet apart.
Latino Liquor, located at 2885 E. Charleston Blvd., Suite 100, Las Vegas, NV 89104, submitted an application for a package liquor store license. The proposed business is located within 1,500 feet of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Church, located at 1335 S. Mojave Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89104.
On February 3, 2026, Latino Liquor submitted a request to waive the one-thousand five-hundred-foot distance restriction to the church. The proposed business location is approximately 1,193 feet away from the church, located at 1335 S. Mojave Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89104.
