BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved the Intersection Improvements: Buffalo Drive at Pebble Road, and Buffalo Drive at Wigwam Avenue project on its annual Capital Improvement Program from its Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund - Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax for Fiscal Year 2025.

Interlocal Contract No. 3195 provides funds for construction of the subject project. The improvements include the removal and construction of pavement; removal of concrete tack-on islands and concrete tack-on curb; removal and construction of drainage structures, installation of rip rap, guardrails, new streetlights, traffic signal, ITS infrastructure; and updating traffic signs and pavement markings. All necessary right-of-way to construct the project has been obtained, and Clark County is ready to advertise the project for construction. The time of performance is effective until December 31, 2029, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on November 14, 2024.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
