BACKGROUND:

On September 11, 2024, CORE filed a complaint in the Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County, Nevada, Case No. A-24-901586-C, against Clark County Department of Aviation (DOA).  The parties participated in settlement negotiations, during which they reached a resolution of all disputes in the complaint, and have negotiated a Settlement Agreement and Mutual Release (Agreement).

This matter will be resolved, and DOA will be released from claims or causes of action under applicable law, in exchange for a payment of $200,000.00. The parties understand and agree that this is a settlement of disputed claims and that in the making of the Agreement, nothing contained therein, or the payment of consideration described therein shall be considered or deemed to constitute an admission of any liability.

Staff is requesting authority for the Director of Aviation to execute any necessary documents for the payment and resolution of the above matters. The Agreement has been reviewed and recommended for approval by the District Attorney's Office and the DOA's outside counsel.
