BACKGROUND:

On May 2, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners discussed amending Clark County Code Title 8, Chapter 8.20, Section 8.20.020.106 to allow for the issuance of full-service liquor bar licenses in additional areas. Staff was directed to return with recommendations on extending this license type to other areas.

On October 17, 2023, staff recommended to the Board of County Commissioners to allow full-service liquor bar licenses in Redevelopment Agency Areas and in multiuse developments other than H-1 zones. The Board of County Commissioners directed staff to draft an ordinance.

The proposed ordinance was introduced at the Board of County Commissioners' meeting on November 7, 2023, and a public hearing was set for November 21, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Staff recommends approval of the ordinance to amend Clark County Code Title 8, Chapter 8.20, Section 8.20.020.106.
