BACKGROUND: 

The owners of property generally referred to as Gaughan South Point have requested that Clark County relinquish multiple perpetual avigation easements encumbering the Gaughan South Point property and other area properties.  The parcel numbers of all of the properties encumbered by the subject avigation easements are listed in the attached Relinquishment. The property owners of Gaughan South Point state that the purpose of seeking the relinquishment is to clear title to the properties encumbered by the easements. The request to relinquish the easements has been reviewed and approved by the Department of Aviation ("DOA") as the DOA has determined that the easements are no longer necessary.  

The District Attorney's Office recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve and authorize the Chair to sign the Relinquishment of Perpetual Avigation Easements.
