BACKGROUND:

August 2023 the Office of Community and Economic Development (OCED) partnered with the Henderson Chamber of Commerce Foundation (HCCF) to help businesses owned by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals build capacity and resiliency. The original Agreement provides grant sub-awards to businesses that are majority owned and controlled by disadvantaged individuals enrolled in the HCCF's Business Incubator. Each sub-grant covered the lease of a basic furnished office space with utilities and services for a duration of six months.

The Amendment provides:
1. An extension of six-months to the term of the Agreement;
2. A second Administrative and Reporting Fee of $4,500;
3. Current Henderson Launchpad sub-grantees an additional paid six-month lease term; and
4. Financial assistance for sub-grantees to participate in the HCC annual Ready, Set, Expo resource event.

The original Agreement provided $45,000 in funding; the Amendment provides no additional money.
