BACKGROUND:
The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved the Decatur Boulevard from Silverado Ranch Boulevard to Ford Avenue, and from Camero Avenue to Maulding Avenue project on its annual Capital Improvement Program from its Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund - Fuel Revenue Indexing for Fiscal Year 2026.
Interlocal Contract No. 3260 provides funds for construction of the subject project. The project consists of roadway improvements on Decatur Boulevard from Silverado Ranch Boulevard to Ford Avenue, and from Camero Avenue to Maulding Avenue. The work to be performed includes roadway widening, median islands, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant driveways, concrete sidewalks, curb and gutter, street lighting, signing, striping, a 10-year storm drain facility, utility adjustments, and other appurtenances as may be necessary to construct a complete and functional roadway. The design for the project was funded by Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada Project 007M. The design is at least 90 percent complete, and all necessary right-of-way to construct the project has been obtained. The term of the contract is effective until June 30, 2031, unless time extensions are granted.
RTC has prepared Interlocal Contract No. 3260 for the Board's consideration. RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on April 9, 2026.
The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
