BACKGROUND:

On September 15, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners approved the Interlocal Agreement with the State of Nevada Housing Division to receive $20 million in Coronavirus Relief Funds to be used for the CARES Housing Assistance Program (CHAP) to provide Clark County residents with rent, utility and mortgage assistance. That program operated between October 2020 and December 30, 2020.

The program parameters changed midway through removing the 120% and below area median income requirement and this amendment seeks to record that change after the fact. This amendment also provides the updated Program Manual which provides the program guidelines.

The District Attorney’s office has approved this agreement as to form.
