The total Contract award was in the amount not to exceed $6,000,000. To date, the total Contract amount used is $5,900,687.77. The additional funding increase of $2,500,000 will bring the total not to exceed Contract amount to $8,500,000. |
BACKGROUND:
On August 18, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of Bid No. 605663-20 to L.N. Curtis and Sons (NBE) in the amount not to exceed $6,000,000 for the purchase of MSA self-contained breathing apparatus.
This Contract is for the purchase of MSA self-contained breathing apparatus with L.N. Curtis and Sons (NBE).
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract was from date of award through June 30, 2021 and included the option to renew for 4, one-year periods. There is 1 option remaining.
• Included the option to increase the award amount up to 3% for possible price increases for renewal terms.
• Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
This approval will allow the Fire Department to continue purchasing self-contained breathing apparatus for all Clark County firefighters.
L.N. Curtis and Sons currently holds a Clark County Business License.
