BACKGROUND: 

NRS 497.190 requires that a Board of Adjustment (Board) be created in conjunction with an Airport Hazard Areas Ordinance. NRS 497.200 requires that the Board consist of five members, each to be appointed for a term of three years by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Title 20.13.100(b) of the Clark County Code specifies that none of the members of the Board may be a member of the BOCC or the Director of Aviation.

One vacancy on the Board is forthcoming, as Shane Ammerman's term as a member is scheduled to expire on September 4, 2021. Staff recommends that Sami Real be appointed to fill Mr. Ammerman's vacancy starting September 4, 2021.

Ronald Lynn's term as a member of the Board is also set to expire on September 4, 2021. Staff recommends that Mr. Lynn be reappointed to the Board.
