BACKGROUND:
On February 3, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of Bid No. 605675-20 to Brightview Landscape Services Inc (NBE) in the amount of $5,262,122.48 for the monthly maintenance of 9 flood control channels and cleanup of homeless encampment located within and directly adjacent to the 9 identified flood control channels.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract was from date of award through August 31, 2021 and included the option to renew for 4, one-year periods. There are 4 renewal options remaining.
• Included the option to increase the award amount up to 20% based on possible increased user requirements for the renewal terms and approved budget appropriations.
• Included the option to increase the award amount up to 3% for possible price increases for renewal terms.
• Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
Approval of Amendment No. 1 provided for the reduction of unit price per cubic yard from $320 to $225 for the homeless encampment cleanup and submission of additional qualifications from Brightview Landscape Services Inc.
Approval of Amendment No. 2 will provide for a one-time increase of $660,000 for Renewal Option 1 term of September 1, 2021 through August 31, 2022. The attached Amendment No. 2 document details the modifications involved.
Brightview Landscape Services Inc currently holds a Clark County Business License.
