BACKGROUND:

The Regional Flood Control District (RFCD) has programmed funds to design and construct flood control improvements. On April 10, 2025, RFCD approved an interlocal contract for construction of the Orchard Collector between Charleston Boulevard and Linden Avenue project. The Board of County Commissioners approved the interlocal contract on May 6, 2025.

Supplemental No. 1 to the interlocal contract increases funding to cover the bid amount, which is higher than the engineer's estimate. The time of performance of the contract remains effective until June 30, 2029, unless time extensions are granted.

RFCD approved the first supplemental contract at its meeting on June 11, 2026.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the first supplemental contract as to form.
