BACKGROUND:

The Clark County Regional Flood Control District (RFCD) has programmed funds to maintain flood control improvements, which are shown on the Master Plan.  On June 10, 2021, Clark County and RFCD entered into an interlocal contract for the maintenance of flood control facilities in the unincorporated areas of Clark County for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 - Annual Maintenance Work Program.  The Board of County Commissioners approved this interlocal contract on July 6, 2021.

The attached Supplemental No. 1 to the interlocal contract increases total funds to maintain flood control facilities and high hazard detention basins as depicted on the amended maintenance work plan summary.  The funds increase will cover updating Emergency Action Plans as required by State of Nevada Division of Water Resources, and additional work by Clark County Public Works Road Division due to increases in homeless encampment cleanups and repairs to damaged chain link fences.

RFCD approved the first supplemental contract at its meeting on January 13, 2022.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the first supplemental contract as to form.
