BACKGROUND:

The Regional Flood Control District (RFCD) approved funding for the Jim McGaughey (formerly Owens) Detention Basin, Collection and Outfall project (No. PW.FCLA36A) on its Master Plan and is identified as Facility Number SLWA 152-Owens Detention Basin, located near Owens Avenue and Los Feliz Street.  The Board of County Commissioners approved the interlocal contract on July 3, 2018.

The Board and RFCD previously approved three supplementals to the interlocal contract by changing the name of the project, increasing total funds, and revising the scope of work to include environmental and entity design labor costs for the subject project.

The attached Supplemental No. 4 to the interlocal contract extends the term of the contract to June 30, 2026, unless further time extensions are granted.  The current total contract value for the subject project is $4,432,870.

RFCD approved the fourth supplemental contract at its meeting on March 9, 2023.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the fourth supplemental contract as to form.
