BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved Interlocal Contract No. 3141 and budgeted funding for the Decatur Boulevard between Rush Avenue and Silverado Ranch Boulevard, and Decatur Boulevard between Blue Diamond Road and Camero Avenue project in RTC's Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund - Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax for Fiscal Year 2024.

Interlocal Contract No. 3141 allocates funds to construct the Decatur Boulevard between Rush Avenue and Silverado Ranch Boulevard, and Decatur Boulevard between Blue Diamond Road and Camero Avenue project. The project consists of roadway improvements that include hot-mix asphaltic concrete pavement and/or rehabilitation of existing asphalt pavement, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) upgrades, traffic signal modification, upgrading lighting to light emitting diodes (LED), traffic control devices, pavement markings, median island installation /modifications, and new storm drain and storm drain inlet. All necessary right-of-way to construct the project has been obtained, and Clark County is ready to advertise the project for construction. The time of performance is effective until June 30, 2029, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on April 11, 2024.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
