BACKGROUND:
In June 2007, the State of Nevada through the Colorado River Commission conveyed ownership of ± 9,000 acres of land in the Fort Mohave Valley pursuant to the Fort Mohave Valley Development Law (Fort Mohave land) to Clark County (County). County desires to lease ± 4,225 acres of the Fort Mohave land (APNs 265-00-001-010, 265-00-001-012, 266-00-001-001, 266-00-001-009, 266-00-001-01 and portions of 265-00-001-013, 265-00-001-043, 265-00-002-004, 266-00-0023-002 and 266-00-002-003) (Property) for the construction of a solar generation facility and battery storage of surplus power generated on the Property under the terms and conditions of the Option Agreement to Lease Real Property as shown on Attachment "A".
The minimum bid is $1,166,000 as the determined reconciled fair market value annual rent.
On November 18, 2025, the Board of County Commissioners approved a Resolution of Intent to Lease with an Option Agreement for Real Property at Public Auction setting an auction date of December 16, 2025.
After the auction has been conducted, the winning bid and bidder shall be noted in the Resolution of Acceptance to Lease of Real Property at Public Auction.
