BACKGROUND: 

The Clark County Regional Flood Control District (RFCD) has approved and programmed funds for flood control improvements for the Flamingo Wash between University Center Drive and Palos Verdes Street project. This project is described in the Las Vegas Valley 2023 Flood Control Master Plan Update (MPU) as Facility Numbers FLWA 0673, FLWA 0674, FLWA 0686, FLWA 0690, and FLWA 0691.

The interlocal contract will provide funds in Year 1 of RFCD's Ten-Year Construction Program for construction of the Flamingo Wash between University Center Drive and Palos Verdes Street project. This project consists of reinforced concrete box culverts and a reinforced rectangular channel. The term of the contract is effective until August 31, 2030, unless time extensions are granted.

RFCD approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on May 21, 2026.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
