BACKGROUND:
Representatives from the Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance, Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health, will be present to provide an overview of off-campus emergency departments (EDs). The presentation will include a discussion on the statutory authority for off-campus EDs, an overview of the regulations of off-campus EDs, and an overview of the licensing process for off-campus EDs. Moreover, the presentation will explain the difference between an urgent/quick care clinic, an independent center for emergency medical care (ICE), and an off-campus ED.
