BACKGROUND:
On September 30, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of Bid No. 605304-19 for Annual Requirements Contract for Permanent Markings Modification, Installation and Maintenance to Highway Striping and Signs for Packages 1, 3, 4 and 5 and Nevada Barricade and Sign Company for Package 2 in the amount of $8,704,104 for the maintenance, repair and replacement of transverse and longitudinal pavement markings on non-freeway roadways Countywide.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract was from date of award through June 30, 2020 and included the option to renew for 4, one-year periods and included a 90-calendar day extension. There are no options remaining.
• Included the option to increase the award amount up to 25% based on possible increased user requirements for the renewal terms and approved budget appropriations.
• This bid contains the standard termination for cause within seven (7) business days and termination for convenience language as all public works efforts of this type.
Approval of Amendment No. 1 will provide for the inclusion of the language for price adjustment requests for materials. The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modifications involved.
Highway Striping and Signs, LLC Nevada Barricade and Sign Company currently hold a Clark County Business License.
