BACKGROUND:
The District intends to utilize the Vena Software Subscription and Support Services to assist in the overall development of pre-configured financial reporting and analysis solutions to include, but not be limited to, project asset monitoring, template design and development, and reporting measures for various data sets. Support services include software implementation and training.
Staff recommends that the Board approve and authorize the General Manager to sign an agreement with Vena Solutions USA Inc., to provide Vena Software Subscription and Support Services. Staff will submit an annual report to the Board detailing incurred expenditures.
The following are pertinent provisions of the agreement:
• The term of the agreement is from date of award and will continue for as long as the competitive bidding exception applies, with a price increase not to exceed 10% for each year of the contract term; and
• The agreement includes the option to terminate or suspend for cause or convenience with advance written notice of intent.
In accordance with NRS 332.115.1(b), (h), & (i), the competitive bidding process is not required because the purchase is for professional services, computer software, and includes maintenance and support for computer software. Vena Solutions USA Inc. (LBE) does not require a Clark County business license or Nevada business registration.
