BACKGROUND:

On December 21, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners approved an interlocal agreement with the Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD) authorizing the replacement of a LVVWD maintained water pipeline in conjunction with the County's "Las Vegas Boulevard between Tropicana Avenue and Flamingo Road (Phases E and F)" project (Public Works Bid No. 605978-21).

Amendment No. 2 to the interlocal agreement is necessary to increase funding in the amount of $220,000 to complete the construction for the project, resulting in a total amount not to exceed $16,478,573.74.

The water facilities installed under this agreement will remain the exclusive property of LVVWD and will become a part of the general water distribution system. Upon completion of the project, the water facilities will be assigned to LVVWD for maintenance.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the amended agreement as to form.
