BACKGROUND: 

Bid No. 605757-20, for Residential Streets Pavement Reconstruction #103 was advertised on December 30, 2020 and opened on February 3, 2021.  The Bid Amounts are as follows:

This Contract is for the excavation of existing pavement material, repairing base failures as needed by replacing with Type II aggregate and re-compacting the subgrade materials, and placing new 3” or 4” asphalt concrete pavement on the top of various residential streets within Clark County. In addition, this contract consists of widening existing roadway pavement and mail-box relocation in various residential rural preservation areas, roadway widening and re-profiling on Eldora Avenue and Westwind Road, providing 1” cold plane (roto-mill fine) and overlay with 1” UTACS on Sandhill Road between Sunset Road and Patrick Lane, removing and replacing concrete sidewalk panels, curb & gutter, and spandrels/cross gutters at locations where are shown on plans, bringing sidewalk ramps up to ADA Standards, installing drainage curb & valley gutters, reconstruct multiple sidewalk underdrains, storm drain drop-inlet top slabs and grate openings, abandon existing storm drain facilities, adjustment of manholes and water valves among other appurtenances, removing and replacing pavement markings, striping and traffic signs, traffic loops, installation of traffic conduits for loop detections and placement of ITS conduits along 80ft. R/W collector streets, upgrading existing pedestrian pushbutton, enhancing existing traffic signal systems with GPS and DSRC features, upgrading existing street-lighting systems to LEDs, adjustment of utilities’ pull boxes and splice vaults within the sidewalk areas, and other related items of work within the unincorporated area of Clark County, Nevada.


The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
                     The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 220 calendar days from the date specified in the                      Notice to Proceed.
                     Includes the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience                      language as in all public works efforts of this type.

The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 338.1385.5, a public body or its authorized representative shall award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
