The total Contract award is estimated in the amount of $7,483,660.48 should all renewal options be exercised. |
BACKGROUND:
This Contract is for voting system software licenses and warranties and equipment with Dominion Voting Systems, Inc. (LBE).
A Fiscal Directive No. 6, Competitive Bidding Exception, was approved because it is critical that County maintains compatibility and performance standards between existing and new hardware and support software. Seeking alternate software and hardware that meets the needs of County would be costly due to implementation fees, training, and unforeseen circumstances that can occur when implementing a major project.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2029, and includes the option to renew for 2, one-year periods.
• Includes the County’s option to terminate for cause or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 332.115.1(g & h), the competitive bidding process is not required as the item to be purchased pertains to hardware and associated peripheral equipment and devices for computers and software for computers.
Dominion Voting Systems, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.
