Cooperative Agreement

Additional Comments:

Appropriations are available in the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 operating budgets of the various County funds to pay the premiums to the Clark County Liability Insurance Pool (Fund 6610.000)

BACKGROUND:

In January 1986, Clark County established a liability insurance pool in conjunction with affiliated local governments to provide for the self-insurance of liability claims and related expenses. This agreement has been renewed since that time because the self-insurance program has proven successful in generating substantial savings for the participating entities versus the costs of commercial insurance. The participating entities recommend continuing this agreement through June 30, 2030.

The terms and conditions of the proposed Cooperative Agreement do not represent a material change versus the agreements that were entered into in the past.

The Cooperative Agreement has been reviewed by the Civil Division of the District Attorney's Office.
