BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved and budgeted funding for the Advanced Transportation and Congestion Management Technologies Deployment (ATCMTD) US-95 Project Integrated Safety Technology Corridor project (Clark County Public Works No. PW.R258AFT) in RTC's Highway Acquisition Fund for Fiscal Year 2022. RTC, in coordination with Clark County, City of Las Vegas, City of North Las Vegas, City of Henderson, City of Boulder City, and City of Mesquite (collectively "Entities") intends to design, construct, operate and evaluate various safety technologies along US-95 between Interstate 515 and Summerlin Parkway. The Board of County Commissioners approved the interlocal contract on October 5, 2021.

The interlocal contract identified RTC as the lead agency. The project is currently funded from 05, Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax. Supplemental No. 3 to Interlocal Contract 1304 changes the funding source to Fund 72, Fuel Revenue Indexing, due to Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax funding constraints.

RTC approved the third supplemental interlocal contract at its meeting on May 22, 2025.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the third supplemental interlocal contract as to form.
