The initial Contract amount was $400,000. Amendment No.1 will increase the Contract amount by $100,000, for a new total Contract amount of $500,000 should all renewal options be exercised. This amount is subject to change based on the number of patients being referred for treatment. |
BACKGROUND:
On November 21, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of RFQ No. 604536-17 to WestCare Nevada, Inc. (NBE), Acadia Merger Sub, LLC / Seven Hills Hospital, Inc., dba Seven Hills Behavioral Institute (NBE), and Freedom House Sober Living dba Freedom Behavioral Health (NBE) in the amount of $400,000 to provide Drug Treatment Programs.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contracts:
• The term of the Contracts were from date of award through December 31, 2018 and included the option to renew for 3, one-year periods. There are no renewal options remaining.
• Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contracts with advanced written notice.
Approval of Amendment No. 1 will provide an additional renewal year to extend the Contracts through December 31, 2022. The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modifications and costs involved.
WestCare Nevada, Inc., Acadia Merger Sub, LLC / Seven Hills Hospital, Inc., dba Seven Hills Behavioral Institute, and Freedom House Sober Living Inc. currently hold Clark County Business Licenses.
