BACKGROUND:
The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved Interlocal Contract No. 3049 and budgeted funding for the Pecos Road between Clark County 215 Bruce Woodbury Beltway and Windmill Lane project in RTC's Highway Improvement Fund for Fiscal Year 2023.
The attached Interlocal Contract No. 3049 identifies City of Henderson (COH) as the lead agency for the project, and RTC as responsible for all project costs. The project consists of removal and replacement of asphalt concrete on Pecos Road between Clark County 215 Bruce Woodbury Beltway and Windmill Lane, and associated sidewalk replacement ramps, roadway striping and utility adjustments. The design for the project was funded by RTC, and all necessary right-of-way to construct the project has been obtained. Portions of the work are within City of Henderson and Clark County. RTC is providing $4,800,000 in funding to City of Henderson and $1,000,000 to Clark County. The time of performance is effective to June 30, 2028, unless time extensions are granted.
RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on February 9, 2023.
COH, which initially requested funding for this project, is scheduled to approve the interlocal contract at its imminent Board meeting.
The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
