Bid No. 606841-23, for Desert Breeze Park Baseball Fields was advertised on November 14, 2023  and opened on March 20, 2024.  The Bid amounts are as follows:

This Contract is for construction of a 17 acre baseball field complex that includes the following amenities: four baseball fields with synthetic turf outfields and dirt infields, covered dugouts, bullpens, digital scoreboards, covered bleachers, a single adaptive use field with synthetic turf, chain link fencing, playground equipment, a fabric shade structure, prefabricated restroom, a synthetic turf warm-up area, an asphalt parking lot, concrete sidewalks and plaza space, metal shade structures, CMU enclosures and LED site and sports lighting. The work also includes a maintenance yard with CMU wall, a 1,600 s.f. maintenance building and wash rack. The site work consists of construction through undeveloped land through the means of clear and grub, rough grade, cut, over-excavation, haul, import fill, fine grade, dust control and caliche removal.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
                     he Contractor shall complete the entire work within 425 calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed.
                     Includes the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience language as in all public works efforts of this type.

The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 338.1385.5, a public body or its authorized representative shall award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.

Soil-Tech, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.

Staff received a protest from Monument Construction dba Monument in accordance with NRS 338.142, notice to protest of award of contract. An Agenda Item Development Report (AIDR) has been prepared and is attached to this agenda.
