BACKGROUND: 

Chapter 501.260 of the Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) establishes a Clark County Advisory Board to Manage Wildlife (CCABMW) consisting of five or seven members. The CCABMW currently comprises seven members, who serve in an advisory capacity to the Nevada State Board of Wildlife Commissioners by soliciting and evaluating local opinion on matters relating to the management of wildlife in Clark County and the state of Nevada. Pursuant to NRS 501.265 through 501.275, the Clark County Board of County Commissioners is tasked with appointing qualified individuals to the CCABMW who are residents of Clark County. 

At this time, there is one vacancy on the Clark County Advisory Board to Manage Wildlife for a person who is a hunter, trapper, or angler, or who is engaged in ranching or farming, after the resignation of board member Jacob Thompson. Only the two qualified individuals listed applied for the opening after it was advertised and posted on the Clark County and department websites. This term will last exactly three years from the date of appointment.
