This contract is for excavating existing pavement material, repairing base failures as needed by replacing with Type II aggregate and re-compacting the subgrade materials, and placing new 3" or 4" asphalt concrete pavement on the top of various residential streets within Clark County. In addition, this contract consists of widening existing roadway pavement in various residential rural preservation areas, removing and replacing concrete sidewalk panels, curb and gutter, and spandrels/cross gutters at locations shown on the plans, bringing sidewalk ramps up to ADA Standards, installing drainage curb and valley gutters, reconstruct multiple storm drain drop-inlet top slabs and grate openings, adjustment of manholes and water valves among other appurtenances, removing and replacing pavement markings, striping and traffic signs, traffic loops, installation of traffic conduit and other related items of work within the unincorporated area of Clark County, Nevada.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 180 calendar days for Lot 1, 150 calendar days for Lot 2, and 90 calendar days for Lot 3, from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed.
• Includes the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience language as in all public works efforts of this type.
The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 338.1385.5, a public body or its authorized representative shall award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
Wells Cargo, Inc. and Las Vegas Paving Corporation currently hold Clark County Business Licenses.
