BACKGROUND: 

At the December 2, 2025 BCC meeting, Commissioner Becker led a discussion on development concerns in the Lower Kyle Canyon area that warrant consideration of a change in the name of the Lower Kyle Canyon Citizen Advisory Council to the Upper Kyle Canyon Citizen Advisory Council, to better distinguish boundary changes that resulted from annexation by the City of Las Vegas.

The District Attorney's Office has approved the ordinance amendment as to form.

Staff recommends a public hearing be scheduled for January 20, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
