BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved the Off-Street Shared Use Path Maintenance - Clark County Fiscal Year 2027-2031 project on its annual Capital Improvement Program from its Highway Improvement Fund for Fiscal Year 2027.

The RTC approved a policy that establishes criteria for the reimbursement of costs from Sales Tax funds for the maintenance of off-street shared use paths (trails). This item will cover the cost associated with maintaining the off-street shared use paths within unincorporated Clark County. The time of performance is effective until June 30, 2031, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC has prepared Interlocal Contract No. 3287 for the Board's consideration. RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on July 9, 2026.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
