BACKGROUND:

On June 20, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners approved a list of community centers as potential sites for the Public Agency Charging Program which is a component of NV Energy’s (NVE) Economic Recovery Transportation Electrification Plan (ERTEP) which provides electric vehicle charging infrastructure to government agencies to service the public.

On February 6, 2024, Clark County (County) entered into a Site Host Agreement (Prior Agreement) with NVE outlining funding, construction, maintenance, repair, site selection and layout. This new Site Host Agreement supersedes the Prior Agreement and outlines the County's intention to construct the sites subject to reimbursement from NVE with future maintenance and repair to be the responsibility of the County. The Site Host Agreement is approved substantially as to form. The following sites are included:

1.
                     Pearson Community Center
2.
                     Parkdale Community Center
3.
                     Winchester Community Center
4.
                     Laughlin Community Resource Center

This item was presented to the County Long Range Planning Committee on January 10, 2024.
