BACKGROUND: 

The Clark County Water Reclamation District ("CCWRD") has designed and constructed a project known as "Ludington Avenue Eight-Inch Removal and Replacement CCWRD Project No. 19801" (District's Project).  Clark County has a project to improve Ludington Avenue between Yorkshire Drive and Lake Mead Boulevard, Sunbird Drive between Ludington Avenue and Continental Avenue, Continental Avenue from 200 feet south of Sunbird Drive to Sunbird Drive, and Yorkshire Drive between Pasadena Boulevard and Continental Avenue (County's Project).  The County desires CCWRD to include the repaving and improvements for the County's Project with the District's Project.  CCWRD is willing to construct and perform contract administration for the County's Project.

The County will pay to CCWRD all actual construction costs in the not-to-exceed amount of $162,325, which is the estimated cost of the County's Project.

The attached interlocal agreement further details the responsibilities, stipulations, and terms for both the County and CCWRD as they relate to this joint project.

The County and the CCWRD's legal counsels have reviewed and approved the interlocal agreement as to form.
