BACKGROUND: 

Clark County has developed the mixed-use Historic Westside Innovation Commons (HWIC) combining workforce housing, office and coworking spaces to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and small business growth in Clark County.

The UNLV Office of Economic Development operates the Nevada Small Business Development Center and will offer their services at HWIC.  To facilitate the delivery of small business support services, UNLV will place two full-time dedicated staff members within the facility and fund the procurement of furniture, fixtures and equipment for the interior second floor of the facility.

In exchange for the delivery of small business support services, Clark County will allow UNLV access and use of two 95 +/- sf office spaces on the second floor of HWIC at no additional charge. 

The term of this interlocal agreement is 10 years with an option to renew for an additional 10 years
