BACKGROUND: 

Bid No. 606164-22, for Cactus Avenue from Fort Apache Road to Buffalo Drive was advertised on April 25, 2022 and opened on May 23, 2022.  The Bid Amounts are as follows:

This Contract is for excavation, new plantmix bituminous pavement, UTACS, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk and sidewalk ramps, asphalt paths, mill and overlay of existing pavement, installation of new storm drain infrastructure, landscape rock, bridge, ITS infrastructure, traffic signal modifications, street lighting, utility adjustments, pavement markings and traffic signing, removal of existing storm drain infrastructure, dust control and traffic control during construction and other associated improvements.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
                     The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 270 calendar days from the date specified in the                      Notice to Proceed.
                     Includes the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience                      language as in all public works efforts of this type.

The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 338.1385.5, a public body or its authorized representative shall award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
