BACKGROUND:
On February 20, 2024, the Clark County Board of Commissioners appointed eight individuals to serve on the Clark County Board of Fire Code Appeals (CCBFCA) for a four-year term starting July 1, 2024 and ending July 4, 2028. During the appointments, the commencing date was incorrectly set on the agenda item for an effective date of July 1, 2024. The correct effective date should have been set to begin immediately or upon the approval of the appointments. Thus, staff recommends that the effective date of the four-year term of the appointed individuals to serve on the CCBFCA be changed from July 1, 2024 to March 19, 2024 and ending March 19, 2028.
