BACKGROUND: 

The Settlement Agreement authorizes the payment of $170,000 for the payment of attorney's fees and costs.  This Settlement Agreement resolves a lawsuit filed in 2017 by the Las Vegas Review Journal regarding a public records request for autopsy reports for all persons under the age of 18. 

The District Attorney's Office recommends that the Board approve and authorize the Chair to sign the attached Settlement Agreement and Mutual Release.
