BACKGROUND:
The Clark County Regional Flood Control District (RFCD) has approved and programmed funds for flood control improvements for the Jim McGaughey Detention Basin, Collection and Outfall project. The project is described in the 2018 Clark County Regional Flood Control District's Master Plan Update (MPU) as Structure Numbers SLWA 0130, 0140, 0150, 0151, 0152, 0153, 0175 and 0180, and SLOW 0000.
The attached interlocal contract will provide funds in Year 1 of RFCD's Ten-Year Construction Program for construction. The proposed construction improvements consist of an 88-acre detention basin, spillway, inflow, and outlet facilities.
The time of performance is effective until June 30, 2028, unless time extensions are granted.
RFCD approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on July 13, 2023.
The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
